Summary: Surface and porewater monthly collection

Erin and I arrived at 9:30 at West Pond. It was sunny and there was smoke from the Glassfire. Erin and I sampled surface and porewaters across the footprint and left as soons as we were done. The water level was high at 69 cm and the inlet was on.

There was standing water at all sites within the wetland and we sampled porewaters from -10 to -50 cm in all sites, except at the 0.5 footprint that we sampled down to -60 cm.
Conductivity and salinity at the inlet were a bit lower than last week and surface waters across the wetland had homogeneous water chemistry. Salinity increased with depth in porewaters reaching a max of 1 ppt at 50 cm. pH in surface waters was around 6.50 and around 5.4 in porewaters, this is higher than last week were some of the ph values in porewaters were 3.5 with an average of 4.4.

Conductivity 681 uS
Salinity: 0.3 ppt
pH:6.38
T: 18.1

Readings porewaters average:
Conductivity 1251 uS
Salinity: 0.6 ppt
pH: 5.4
T: 19.1

We left at 1 pm and I came back to the lab to process some of the samples (WP4 samples). The rest of the samples were processed during the rest of the week.
