Summary: Leveled scaffolding, mothballs, left wash box lid open.

I arrived at about 10:30. This was a quick trip to level the scaffolding while the crew worked on pulling soil cores from West Pond.

I used the sheep herders jack to lift the east side of the scaffolding. I had to loosen the tie down to the fence post at the southeast corner. I added an Aluminum pipe to the northeast corner with two crossover fittings. This was supported on a piece of 2x4 on top of a cinderblock to replace the broken foot jack in that corner. The southeast corner foot jack was still working. Once the scaffolding was level I tightened the tie down.

I put some mothballs in the data logger box.

The lid of the wash reservoir was closed again. I opened it and tucked it under the upper boardwalk so it canâ€™t be closed again without lifting the boardwalk. There were still wasps in the wash box but not as many as last time.

I left at about 11:00
