Robert, Ariane, and I arrived at 10:35. It was sunny, mild, and windy. The water level was 41 cm. Robert collected water samples for Isabel at 9:45 PST. The wash reservoir was empty; we refilled it and knocked off 2 small waspsâ€™ nest inside. Ariane rinsed off the solar panels.

Robert cleaned flux and rad sensors. We pulled up the fluorometer and found a small fish in the bottom of the cap. This dark gray fish seems to be in the cap every time we pull the fluorometer up, so maybe we can put some copper mesh over the cap holes to prevent it and other organisms from moving in.

Ariane took off the fluorometer cap and cleaned the lenses and brushes with distilled white vinegar and a soft toothbrush (a tip from Turner Designs), then rinsed well with DI water from the sprayer. When we reconnected the fluorometer cable, we saw a blue light come on but did not hear the brushes spin. On a later visit I saw that the fluorometer had not been sending data; when we connect the fluorometer cable we need to make sure to attach the cable head securely enough so that the brushes spin.

I collected cam and USB GHG data. I didnâ€™t connect to the datalogger because I did not have the CSI/O cable. I couldnâ€™t connect through RS232 because it was configured to receive serial communication from the fluorometer every 10 s.

One of the links on the lower eosGP is almost rotted through.
