I arrived at about 14:00. It was clear sunny and hot. I had to drive through a goat pen on the main levee. There were two llamas standing guard. The wetland is mostly green and the water is vegetable brown. The weeds are out of control. Maybe I should rent a weed eater and beat them back a bit.

I collected the autocam images that were missed last time. The camera windows were pretty dirty â€“ I cleaned them.

I pulled up the water sensor boom. The chain for the CO2 and DO had rotted through and was hanging off the bottom pCO2 sensor. I removed the broken piece of chain and reattached the bottom pCO2 about 30cm below the top sensors. I also adjusted the top miniDOT up about 10cm so that it hung even with the upper pCO2. Both of these now measure about 10cm below the water surface. I collected the miniDOT data and added some silicone dielectric grease to the o-ring before redeploying. New chain is needed â€“ maybe plastic chain with a weight at the bottom?

I disconnected the fluorometer sn 2300565 and tried to clean it. It was totally coated in slimy biofouling. There seemed to be almost adhesive like goo around the sensor windows. Finally I decided to take it in and try to really clean it up in the lab and talk to Turner Designs. I dropped the connector cable end in the water before I remembered to tie it up. I tried to blow it dry and left it exposed.

The tipping bucket had lost its funnel. I found it in the reeds nearby and taped it back in place.
