Summary: Moved portable tower to Low Veg site. Replaced 10x internal battery. Replaced tower car batteries. Water samples at all tower locations.

Portable Tower
We arrived at the High Veg portable tower site at about 10:00 PDT. Downloaded the data. Kathleen took water samples at High Veg. Took pictures of High Veg footprint. Only a few data points from conductivity and TC measurements on 10x due to internal battery failure. Replaced internal battery in 10x and reset station clock. The tower has been losing power in the wee hours of the morning so we also replaced the 2 car batteries on the tower with 2 newer batteries.

Moved tower to Low Veg site. Installed tc rod and conductivity probe about 17 m into footprint in open water (~30 cm deep) about halfway to the point where the â€œinletâ€ expands into the wider channel. Took photos of Low Veg footprint. Kathleen took water samples at Low Veg.

Sonic N at Low Veg site: 315Â° N magnetic.
Tower height (Low Veg): 4.83 m above berm (~ 60 cm from berm to water)

Readings after install at Low Veg
CO2: 395 ppm
H2O: 750 mmol m-3
signal strength = 90.0%
t: 22.5 Â°C
p = 101.4 kPa
sos = 346.2 m s-1
CH4: 1.92 ppm
RSSI: 50.2% (69% after cleaning)
Topped off reservoir.

Permanent Tower
All well. Collected data. Took water samples.

Re-leveled upward PAR sensor, was tilted. Sara took spectral measurements from tower â€“ 2 over veg to the west, 1 over the water to the north.

Readings:
CO2: 393 ppm (same after cleaning)
H2O: 860 mmol m-3 (same after cleaning)
signal strength = 95.2 after cleaning
t: 24.8 Â°C
p = 101.3 kPa
sos = 347.5 m s-1
CH4 = 2.0 ppm (same after cleaning)
RSSI = 39% (71% after cleaning)
Topped off reservoir.
Met looked good.
