Twitchell Rice
2014-06-05

We arrived about 15:00 PDT. Hot and sunny with a nice breeze. The rice seedlings continue to grow, no flooding yet. Lots of weeds growing simultaneously. Checked the tower, did spectral and clip plots, and set out a transect E-W along the field to the south of the tower.

There was a note to check the air pressure again. It seemed fine, but apparently the variation is wonky. Need to replace next time.

We played with the rain gauge, causing it to record a few tips. Need to delete from Met.

7700 wash settings were on default for some reason. Reset.

Got serial numbers for SHF plates: #1 – sn 00243 (62.1 uV/W m-2), #2 – empty, #3 – sn 00246 (61.2 uV/W m-2)

7500 readings:
CO2 = 406 ppm (407 after cleaning)
H2O = 480 mmol m-3 (520 after cleaning)
signal strength = 80.1% (80.6% after cleaning)
p = 101.2 kPa
t = 32.4 C
sos: 352.8 m s-1

7700 readings:
CH4 = 1.9 ppm (same after cleaning)
RSSI = 58% (71% after cleaning)

Met looked good.
