Summary: Site still greening up. Took water samples. Checked readings. moved boom.
| Mayberry 2014-04-03 We arrived around 9:00 PDT. It was slightly overcast and cool. The site continues to green. I took water samples while Patty checked the Met and flux readings and oulled the remaining Vaisala CO2 boards. All looked good, except for Thermocouple 23 (Tule #3 -8cm). I checked the wiring and it turns out that it was wired backwards. After fixing the wiring, all looked good. Patty and I moved the boom pointed over the water to the NE post of the scaffold and oriented it ~45 degree from North (see pictures). This should hopefully fix the problem with the PARout reading that was dropping off markedly after about 11am each day. 7500 readings: CO2: 420 ppm H2O: 446 mmol m-3 signal strength = 88.7% (forgot to clean 7500) p = 102.0 kPaSherman 2014-03-27 Current 7700 readings: CH4 = 2.05 ppm (same after cleaning) RSSI = 52.5 % (68% after cleaning) Reservoir full. |
