West Pond: 2013-11-21 12:35:00 (DOY 325)
Author: Cove Sturtevant
Others: Laurie

Summary: Water level under tower high. Data download. 7550 firmware update. New Met program. All good.

West Pond
2013-11-21

We arrived around 12:35 PST. It was sunny, windy and cold. The inlet was running strong and the water under the tower the highest I had every seen it due to the recent rains. There are only a few green tules left amidst the mostly senescent and fallen tule and cattail canopy.

I downloaded data and did a firmware update to the 7550 (v. 6.5.5) while Laurie collected water samples. I also changed the Met program to fix an error in the conductivity calculations.

No ants in the Met box sweet.

7500 readings:
CO2 = 400 ppm (same after cleaning)
H2O = 288 mmol m-3 (same after cleaning)
signal strength = 83.2% (83.5% after cleaning)
t = 15.2 C
p = 101.2 kPa
sos = 343.2 m s-1

7700 readings:
CH4 = 1.95 ppm (same ppm after cleaning)
RSSI = 38 (84 after cleaning)
Reservoir was 2/3 full. Refilled.

MET looked good.
Cleaned radiation instruments.
