| Twitchell Alfalfa 2013-11-21 We arrived about 13:15 PST. It was sunny, cold, and WINDY. The recent rains gave the tower a nice bath. No water in the well, though. The alfalfa has been mown and the bales removed from the site. We found a massacred field transect tape near the tower... We downloaded data and cleaned the flux instruments. The camera was off. We added a zip-tie to better secure the 7700 analyzer (its mount allowed it to rotate off-vertical in high winds). 7500 readings: CO2 = 392.6 ppm (400 after cleaning) H2O = 280 mmol m-3 (220 after cleaning) SS = 74.5% (75.4% after cleaning) T = 15.75 C p = 101.5 kPa sos = 343.7 m s-1 7700 readings: CH4: 2.1 ppm (1.93 ppm after cleaning) RSSI: 6% (80% after cleaning) Reservoir was empty refilled. MET looked good. |
