Twitchell Rice: 2013-01-17 13:15:00 (DOY 17)
Author: Cove Sturtevant
Others: Dennis, Sara

Summary: Need to fix soil CO2 probe teflon for next time. All else well.

2013-01-17

We arrived at approximately 13:15 PST. It was sunny, about ~13 °C with a mild breeze. The field remains flooded and bare. Dennis and I attended to the tower while Sara played in the water. She noted that the DO sensor was lying on its side (and fixed it). She couldn’t install the new CO2 probe because the Teflon had a small hole in it. She’ll fix and will install next time. Dennis removed the old closed path tubing from the tower and we also adjusted the radiation boom to extend perpendicularly over the field.

7500 readings:
CO2 = 438 ppm (444 after cleaning)
H2O = 361 mmol m-3 (343 after cleaning)
agc = 20.3 (new format, after cleaning it was 17.3 – the new agc is definitely more sensitive)
sos = 341 m s-1
p = 102.4 kPa

7700 readings:
CH4 = 2.38 ppm
RSSI =42 (bumped to 72 after cleaning)
Topped off reservoir (was 3/4 full).

MET looked good. Rain gauge cover was back on.
