Summary: Installed new tule CO2 sensor, resealed autocam housing glass, some adjustments needed to new wireless system. Need long cable ties. All generally well.

Permanent tower
We arrived about 11:00 PST. It was warming considerably with a bright sun and very mild breeze. The site looked the same (senescent), and the water level was high. I attended to the tower, downloaded data (MET data is on the spectral computer), and resealed the glass on the autocam housing with silicone while Dennis and Sara went out in the water. They took water samples and installed a new 1% CO2 sensor (s/n H1630066) in the tules, at the time about 5 cm below the water surface. We need to clean the water sensors (DO and CO2) next time. All was well at the tower. We tried to install the new wireless system to be able to communicate with the 23x in the water and were almost successful except that the antenna can’t be housed in the 23x box. I will adjust the system next week to be able to place the antenna out in the open and we’ll retry next time we’re out. Sara also noted that we need to get more long cable ties to bring to the field.

Current 7700 readings:
CH4 = 2.48 ppm
RSSI = 43 (bumped to 85 after cleaning)
The reservoir was full (with a bit of ice)

7500 readings:
CO2: 452 ppm
H2O: 315 mmol m-3
agc: 43.8
p = 102.6 kPa
sos = 337.8 m s-1
