Summary: tower readings good, Vaisala RH about 6 percentage points low compared to standard, will double check next time

We arrived at about 13:20 PDT. Hot, with some thin high altitude clouds. I checked the tower readings while Sara and Laurie went off to collect water samples.

I swapped the USB stick (testing new white Lexar stick) in the 7550 box and downloaded the MET data and autocam pics.

Current 7500 readings:
CO2 = 380 ppm
H2O = 650 mmol m-3
agc = 50 (reduced to 43.8 after cleaning)
t = 31.12 C

7700 readings:
CH4 = 2.1 ppm
RSSI = 47 (bumped to 74 after cleaning)

DO readings looked good, other MET values looked fine.

I checked the tower Vaisala against the standard (again not realizing to keep the standard out of the sun before putting it into the shield to reduce the settling time). The standard read intermediate to the tower Vaisala temperature before and after, but the tower RH seemed a little high (but I’ll double check next time).
Standard: T = 32.5 C; RH =28%
Tower probe: T = 31.6 C before, 33.0 C after; RH = 33.8% before, 34% after
