2012-07-10 I arrived about 10am PDT. The Tonzi gate is no longer orange, it has been painted silver. It was clear, sunny and hot with a puff of breeze from the west. The grasses are golden yellow and the trees at still very green. Grasses around the floor site and the soil CO2 sites have been trampled, probably where Martin was working with the spectrometers. I serviced the z-cams and generally inspected things. Everything seemed okay. The tower computer is low on disk space, less than 3GB on both drives. I had previously compressed the archived 2007 data on the D: drive. Today I moved the 2007 data to external memory to transfer to the lab. I started compressing the 2008 data. Now there is more than 5GB free on the D: drive. On the C: drive I moved archived Phenocam images from 2011 to external memory for transfer to the lab. The CO2 profile system has little to no flow. The pump may have broken after being stressed by the sticky solenoid. I’m trying to decide whether a quick fix or a larger rebuild is in order. |
