Summary: Replaced new soil co2 batteries, installed soil co2 probes, reinstalled SHF plate 3, reset cr23x to fix am16/32, oak tree leaves starting
| Vaira 2012-03-21 I arrived about 9:00 with Siyan. Shortly afterwards Stephen from Ameriflux arrived. It was sunny with some high thin clouds the burned off and w very light breeze. The ground is a little drier than two days ago. Today we noticed that many of the threes are beginning to put on leaves. I installed new batteries (borrowed from DWR) for the new soil co2 system sn BB-VR_soilco2. Siyan and I installed three sets of three probes to the west, north and east of the data logging box. All the probes and temperatures were reporting reasonable numbers when we left. The screen for the tower computer would not turn on but the computer seemed to be running. We waited until it got a little sunnier then the computer screen worked fine. The AM16/32 was bad again. Cycling the power on the CR23X fixed it again. The solar power seemed slow to recharge the batteries. When we left about noontime the solar charger was reading 12.2V 15.4A solar, 3.2A load. I reinstalled soil heat flux plate number three. |
