Summary: Tried to calibrate 7700 but failed, pulled conductivity sensor, water samples, cleaned open water DO sensors.

I arrived about 12:00PST with Jaclyn and Sara. It was warm, sunny and clear with little to no wind. The tules are definitely brown and even the cattails are beginning to look not so vigorous.

We collected data and swapped cards.

I tried to calibrate the LI7700, but could not connect to it with the computer, even with the 7550 box. The ready light never came on in the 7550 box. I did not bring the 7700 IP address or the instructions on how to sync the box and head. This might help next time. Also I could at least run the cal gases through the 7700 and see the values on the CR1000 if not do the full calibration.

The 7700 water reservoir was almost empty and there were quite a few spider webs on the tower top. The RSSI was 40 when we arrived. It climbed to 45 after cleaning the lower mirror and to 82 after cleaning the upper mirror.

We pulled the conductivity sensor from the main tower to clean and test in the lab. Then we will reinstall it at the Tule tower.

Sara collected water samples and cleaned the open water DO sensors.
