7/16/2010 Arrived about 9am from Tonzi. Some clouds moving in from the east and distant rumbles of thunder. Otherwise mostly sunny and hot, with little wind from the south. Grasses are very dead and trees are beginning to look a little stressed. Checked and copied data. Seems okay. I worked on fixing tipping bucket problem. I upgraded Logger net on the computer from v3.2.2 to 3.4.1 and reloaded OS on the data logger. Neither seemed to fix the problem, summary value doesn’t include all tips even though the instantaneous tips seem to show up. Maybe some hidden corruption in the program, editing the program still behaves strangely. Next time I can try rewriting the program from a hard copy. The web cam images seemed unfocused so I adjusted the web cam focus. No spectrums because of partial cloud cover. Lots of grasshoppers and dragonflies.
