Summary: Lost CR1000 slow data, Diffuse PAR down and removed for repair, snake head in rain bucket.

I arrived about 10am with Jaclyn, Dennis and Emily. It was clear, sunny and warm with a breeze from the west. The pepper weed in the field is knee high and the patch of spikey weeds is beginning to grow. Inside the cow fence is a waist high jungle. Jaclyn is stomping it down a little at a time. The west end of the field looked wet from the bridge. The ditch along the road is full again at a near normal level.

I collected data and swapped the CR1000 card. I had some trouble swapping the CR1000 card and the slow table seemed to get corrupted.

I tried to troubleshoot the Diffuse PAR CR10X. The data looks like it only reports at night, maybe a temperature thing? I checked the internal battery and that seemed fine, I also reseated the battery to wipe the data logger memory to see if that fixed things, but it did not. So I pulled the data logger for testing in the lab. The power for the LED sensor ran through that data logger, I patched it in the 12V connector for the data logger instead.

I collected data directly from the soil CO2 data logger. Its clock was off. At 5/13/2011 09:15 the data logger clock read 2/28/2012 1:39:14. I reset the data logger clock at 5/13/2011 09:15:18.

The radiometers were clean. I removed a snake’s head from the tipping bucket. The HMP45 fan was going.
