Summary: End of year field work, swapped 7500 for calibration, all seems well

I arrived at about 10:20 with Kyoko and Hisashi. The Delta and Central Valley were socked in with fog. Here there is a low overcast occasionally broken with a bit of blue sky and sun. It’s cool with a breeze from the south. There has been some recent storms and more rain to come. The trees are mostly bare and the grass is just biding its time.

Hisashi and Kyoko measured the well. I collected the flux, met, camera and FD data. I swapped the 7500 for calibration: sn 0065 came off and sn 0035 went on.
0065 read: 452.3ppm CO2, 417.2mmol/m3, 10.4C, 100.4kPa, 112.0SS
0035 read: 452.2ppm CO2, 394.9mmol/m3, 10.3C, 100.4kPa, 100.5SS
After I updated the pressure coefficients I reset the box.

The Delta-T had a bunch of dew on the outside. The radiometers and tipping buck were clean.

I tried to do spectra measurements but the sun was a little variable. I did an upward sample and the beginning and end.

I turned on the fence charger – the wire looked clean.

We went to the pond. We saw something we think might have been a bob cat moving at speed across the pasture to the east of the turn to the pond. At first I thought it might be a mountain lion but it seem to have a short tail.

We left at about 11:10 PST.
