Summary: Standard data collection, removed one of the two Arable units, more solar power outages - need maintenance

I arrived at about 16:20 PDT. It was cool, clear and sunny. The grasses here are browner than Tonzi and the number of flowers has declined. The water hole was still full.

I measured the well and collected the data. I had some issues with the serial port on the laptop. It kept getting different port numbers and the Eosense software couldn’t find it. Restarting the laptop a couple of times managed to get the data collected.
The 7500 read: 416.6ppm CO2, 391.7mmol/m2 H2O, 99.7kPa, 25.6C, 103.0SS

I was in a bit of a rush and didn’t expect more drop outs so didn’t check for them in the field. But in the lab I noticed that the solar power is rapidly going downhill at Vaira. I could have unplugged the soil co2 stuff to reduce the load a bit. As it is I think we will just have to deal with it until I get out there next time.

The Stardot reset its clock because of the failing solar power.

I removed Arable sn C003231 as it has been failing. I connected the anemometer/vane set to the other Arable and hope it automatically figures the change out. That arable had a red light next to the thermometer (sensors) symbol on top.

I went to the pond.

I did veg height and spectra. Much of the grass is about knee high with a few spots of sparse waste stems and more spots of very short plants.

I left at about 17:20 PDT
