Author: Joe Verfaillie

Summary: Reinstalled computer, removed soil CO2 #6 for testing, Wendy and other in the field.

Sherman
10/20/2010

I arrived about 9:30am with Dennis and Jaclyn. Wendy and others were there doing their field work in the northern 3rd of the field. There was almost no wind from the north. It was clear, sunny and cool. The vegetation in the field is continuing to die back. The ground is damp from the weekend rains.

I reinstalled the computer. I by passed the KVM switch and connecter the keyboard and monitor directly to the computer. It booted fine and collected all its data.

The soil CO2 23x was communicating and displaying instantaneous data, but had not been recording final storage values for about a week. A restart of the data logger fixed this. But CO2 probe 6 was off scale and reporting –INF in Loggernet. It looked like it was outputting about 6V. We removed it and its probe for testing in the lab. There’s another black widow in that box.

I collected data and swapped CR1000 cards.
