I arrived at about 12:00 noon PDT. I met Rob on the way in â€“ he said his mail is getting vandalized and he has a new PO Box. It was mostly overcast and cool but when the sun did break through it was almost hot. Record breaking rains a couple days ago. The pond is now about 2/3 full. The ground is thoroughly wet but not soggy yet. There are large puddles in the road. The trees look greener â€“ mostly because the storm knocked all the brown leaves off. There are quite a few broad leaf sprouts coming up but little grass and not enough to add a tinge of green yet.

All seemed well. I collected the flux, met, phenocam, z-cam, DBH, well levels, soil moisture and FD data.
The Tower 7500: 415.5ppm CO2, 469.5mmol/m3 H2O, 99.8kPa, 16.3C, 102.6SS
The Floor 7500: 413.5ppm CO2, 501.3mmol/m3 H2O, 99.9kPa, 17.1C, 100.7SS
The storm washed everything clean.

The Floor HMP45 had fallen out of its solar shield and was laying on the ground. I put in back in place but the fan was dead and I didnâ€™t have a spar (forgot the blue bag). Need to swap the fan next time.

The soil was saturated all the way down to 60cm. The well levels have stayed steady or fallen a bit still so all the water has been soaked up by the surface.

Resetting the CO2 concentration on the Open FD chamber seemed to work last time. I did another performance check on the Tree1 FD chamber and it acknowledged that I reset its CO2 concentration but it was a bit hard to tell. The flux data looks okay though.

I replaced the SLA battery on the IRT CR1000 that has been failing.

I retested the two tipping buckets that were slightly off last time. SP2 got 50/50 tips and the Main bucket got 49/50 tips. The adjustments last time were good and the data is correct for the most recent rain.

The power pack on the road well was dead. I swapped it with the one I was using for the tipping bucket test pump.

I left for Vaira at about 15:00 PDT
