Joe and I arrived at 15:30 PDT. It was overcast but warm and humid with not much breeze. It has been lightly raining on and off over the past few days; this weekend we are will have an atmospheric river with an expected 12-20 cm rain, wow!

Joe rescued a goat. To the south near the levee a goat had pushed its head through the 8" heavy gauge mesh panel the herders use for gates. Because of its horns it couldn't get its head back through the opening. Joe grabbed the goat by the horns and maneuvered its head back through the fencing. The goat looked appropriately grateful.

The staff gauge read 20 cm.

I collected met, cam, and USB GHG data. I downloaded the miniDOT data and swapped the desiccant for the miniDOT and water level sensor.

The wash reservoir was mostly full; we topped it off. Joe cleaned flux and rad sensors. The 7700 was pretty clean but the 7500 had condensation on the bottom.

The picam had some spiderwebs inside the window, but the photos seem ok so we can wait until next time to clean it.

We tested the tipping bucket sn 50229-112. Joe cleaned out the tippersâ€”there were many spiderwebs so it probably hasnâ€™t been tipping properly recently. We dripped 240ml of water through the bucket using a peristaltic pump powered with a lithium battery. This should result in 50 tips in about 20 minutes. We got 54 tips. We turned its sets crews 1.5 turns CCW. I will test it again at the next visit to see if the adjustment was sufficient.

There were wasps in the datalogger box, so I left them some mothballs before we left.
