Summary: Regular data collection/download, pulled vertical drain boards
2019-12-05 East Pond Alex, Débora (our visitor from Brazil), and I arrived at 13:50 PST. It was an overcast, foggy, and cool day. The water level was 71 cm. Lots of rain in the past week and more to come this weekend. On our way to the site from West Pond, we stopped at the outlet drain. There were 2 layers of boards in the drain, a horizontally placed layer as we usually see, and a vertically placed layer upstream of the horizontal layer. I want to start lowering the water level before we take down the tower, so we pulled out the vertical boards and stacked them by the road. The water immediately began leaking through the horizontal board into the drain. Alex also pushed some of the plants away from the drain mouth. In January, we’ll come back with the hoe to remove the horizontal boards. I downloaded met, camera, and USB GHG data. The wash reservoir was mostly full; Alex topped it off and cleaned flux and rad sensors. LI-7500 readings: CO2 448ppm H2O 593ppm T 14.5C P 102.1kPa SS 99--> 101 after cleaning LI7700 readings: CH4 2.4ppm RSSI 20--> 71 after cleaning We left around 14:30. |
