Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, downloaded miniDOT, swapped 7500 for calibration, water level almost above staff gauge
2019-11-14 East Pond I arrived at 14:15. Alex was finding litter bags at East End and Ariane was filtering water samples at West Pond. It was an overcast, cool, and breezy day. The wetland is about ¾ brown. The water level was 94 cm, almost above the staff gauge. We should probably drain it before we take the tower down so it’s easier to recover all our underwater equipment. We ran into Bruce while at East End and he said he would be raising the outlets at both West Pond and East Pond. I downloaded met, camera, USB GHG, and miniDOT data. I cleaned the flux sensors; the 7500 had a dried brown puddle on the lower lens. I swapped miniDOT desiccant and swapped LI-7500 for calibration: sn 0035 came down and sn 0041 went up. I uploaded a new config file, update the pressure coefficients, and reset the box. Afterwards, I confirmed the USB was logging, the GHG columns looked good, and there was no time error. I topped off the wash reservoir and closed the lid on the box. LI-7500 readings (sn0035 --> sn0035 clean --> sn0041): CO2 -96ppm --> 404 --> 415 H2O 65ppm --> 528 --> 540 T 18.2C --> 17.8 --> 17.5 P 102.1kPa --> 102.1 --> 102.1 SS 28 --> 97 --> 100 LI7700 readings: CH4 1.95ppm RSSI 39--> 70 after cleaning I left at 15:10 to go to West Pond and pick up Ariane. We stopped by briefly at 16:00 so I could clean the rad sensors. |
