Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, some met data drops, tested tipping bucket
| 2018-11-01 Bouldin Corn Dennis, Kuno, and I arrived at 9:35. It was sunny with thin clouds, a mild and pleasant day with good visibility. A farm worker came by to say they’ll be flooding in a week or two. Kuno topped off the wash reservoir and cleaned the flux and rad sensors. Dennis cut back some of the weeds by the tower. I downloaded met, camera, and USB GHG data. Some of the met data (e.g., Air T, RH, P, SHF plates) dropped out for 3 days (10/19-10/21). I originally thought it was a power issue, but some sensors like VWC and dfPAR don’t seem affected. I need to look into it more. We cleaned and tested the tipping bucket sn 65548-615. Last week, we got 97 tips and adjusted the set screws in the bottom by one half turn clockwise (+2-3%). This week, we got 99 tips. I left it as is and didn’t make any adjustments. LI-7500 readings: CO2 475ppm H2O 470ppm T 15.6C P 101.6kPa SS 98-->101 after cleaning LI7700 readings: CH4 2.9ppm RSSI 20 --> 88 after cleaning We left around 10:05. |
