Summary: Calibrated 7700, re-tested tipping bucket, adjusted SHF plate
| 2018-10-25 Bouldin Corn Joe and I arrived at 15:05 for a maintenance trip. It was sunny and warm, relatively calm, with hazy horizons. Some corn fields south of Hwy 12 are flooded, and one field was full of geese. A worker was clearing out the trench by the duck club. We calibrated the LI-7700, sn TG1-0155. Before calibrating, Joe cleaned the sensor thoroughly, including the cap. LI7700 readings: (before cleaning --> after cleaning --> after calibration) CH4 1.97ppm --> 1.95 --> 1.95 RSSI 55 --> 91 --> 90 LI-7500 readings: CO2 410ppm H2O 440ppm T 26.9C P 101.1kPa SS 100 We cleaned and tested the tipping bucket sn 65548-615. Last week, we got 94 tips and adjusted the set screws by one half turn. We connected the bucket to a CR23x and dribbled 475ml of water through it. This should result in 100 tips – we got 97 tips. We adjusted the set screws in the bottom by one half turn clockwise (+2-3%). Joe dug out soil heat flux plate #2. It was upside down and he reinstalled it in the correct orientation. We left at 15:55. |
