Summary: Calibrated 7700, swapped 2 PAR sensors, tested tipping bucket

Joe and I arrived at 10:15 for a maintenance trip. It was sunny, mild, and calm. The met box was littered with ant corpses from the mothballs we put in last time.

We calibrated the LI-7700, sn TG1-0224. Before calibration, Joe cleaned the 7700 thoroughly. The cap had some spikes missing, so we replaced it with a cap we had removed from SW that Joe cleaned. We need to replace the 7700 wash tubing.

LI7700 readings:

I downloaded the met data, and we swapped 2 PAR sensors that had rotting cables. After the swap, PAR in = 7.4, PAR water = 0.21. The PAR in sensor needs some silicone or liquid electrical tape to waterproof the sensor-cable junction. The Rnet sensor cable is also rotting and needs to be replaced. The PAR tule sensor could also be swapped for calibration (the cable looks fine).

PAR in, mux channel 13: sn 10162 came down, sn 010159 went up
PAR water, mux channel 15: sn 010161 came down, sn 040412 went up.

The tipping bucket cable had been chewed by the boardwalk. Joe spliced the cable and threaded it through PVC conduit. We cleaned and tested the tipping bucket sn 40415-1006. We connected the bucket to a CR23x and dribbled 475ml of water through it. This should result in 100 tips â€“ we got 100 tips!

We left at 12:10.
