Summary: Installed soil co2 batteries, fixed air pressure, standard fieldwork

I arrived at about 10:00 with Siyan, Ana and Miriam. It was sunny and warm with a variable breeze. The grass is mostly brown and dry.

I installed the batteries and action packer from Twitchell Alfalfa as the soil CO2 battery bank sn BB-VR_soilco2. The damaged battery is still there and I need to bring a disposal bag for it.

I did the regular data collection and Siyan did the regular fieldwork including clip plots. I noticed that the air pressure was reading low and discovered a broken wire at the multiplexor. Reconnecting the wire fixed the air pressure.

There were lots of spider webs on the sonic and IRGA. Cleaning them of did not seem to make much difference in the readings.

The USB drive I installed in the 7550 might have been the one from Twitchell Alfalfa that still has data on it.

The phenocam seems to have collected a complete set of photos this time. I install a new Transcend 133x card in the CR1000.

The door of the soil co2 box had been left ajar last time â€“ I closed it.

We did not visit the pond.
