I arrived at about 11:15 with Siyan, Ana and Miriam. It was clear, sunny and warm with a variable breeze. The pond has visibly shrunk in the last week or so. There were lots of mocking birds making noise around the tower.

We checked on the thermal camera and it all seems to have run correctly in the last few days. Ana and Miriam then unmounted the camera and took it to explore other locations on the tower as suggested by Miriamâ€™s adviser.

I did the standard data collection and Siyan did the standard fieldwork including clip plots and midday water potential. The PRI sensors at the top of the tower were reporting NaN. Cycling power on them did not seem to fix the problem. Cycling power on all the SRS sensors that shared the same SDI-12 port (C5) seemed to fix it. The phenocam only collected another 126 images. I swapped the card with a new Transcend 133x card.

The HMP fan at the Tower top HMP45 was dead. I swapped it for a new one. This was the last of our spare 12V fans â€“ though this location could use a 24V fan.

I added DI water to all the batteries in both the Floor battery bank sn BB-TF and the Tower sn BB-TT. I need a much better way to deliver a controlled stream of DI water to the batteries.

After taking a bunch or paired thermal and visible images at different heights and directions on the tower, Miriam and Ana reinstalled the camera at is original location. However they had loosened the mount so its field of view might be a little off from before.

Siyan did the standard fieldwork including water potential and clip plots.
