Sherman Wetland: 2016-06-06 09:15:00 (DOY 158)

Summary: Troubleshot problems from initial setup, got camera started, recorded relative heights and distances of instruments to scaffold, recorded thermocouple-electrical port relationship

Arrived at 09:15. Sunny with a clear sky, quite windy with gusts. Field was drier than last week; the visible groundwater was mostly gone.

Methane wash water reservoir filled, was nearly full.

Collected USB GHG data, collected met data from CR1000. Camera was not yet set up.

Measured distance of the well, tipping bucket, all soil heat flux plates and all thermocouples from a reference point on the scaffold. We also measured distance to the middle of the 7700, 7500, sonic, aspirator, and camera from the ground.

We recorded which AM25T port goes to which thermocouple. We used ice to treat one thermocouple at a time and see which port showed a change in temperature.

In the LI7550 box, we changed the settings for SOS analog channel from m=5 to m=7 and b=345 to b=335.
The radiation measurements were wired wrong. Changed the labels in the CR1000 program: SW_IN, SW_OUT, LW_IN, LW_OUT to the correct order: SW_IN, LW_IN, LW_OUT, SW_OUT

We swapped the battery in the CR1000 and reset the clock, then sent a new program to the CR1000 including power control from the camera on port C8.

SHF1 was reading too high; found that it was not entirely covered. We covered it with about 2cm of soil, as well as a padding of dead foliage.

Joe connected the camera sn 0030f4d214a5 and it is recording. He also installed bird spikes on sonic and LI7700. Recorded serial number for sonic: sn153803. He also ran a wire for the HMP60 fan, but did not install the fan because it was too windy.
