Summary: Some green starting to show. Data download. Installed copper mesh on two FRCO2. Algae in miniDOT showing diel DO pattern. New 23x program. Removed IRT sensors. Chewed TC wire.

We arrived at about 09:40 PDT. It was cool and windy. Some green starting to show in the wetland. We downloaded data and cleaned flux and radiation instruments.

Installed copper mesh on the bottom two forerunner CO2 probes. Need to do top sensor.

Checked the top miniDOT sensor. Recently the sensor has been showing a very strong diel pattern with very high DO during midday. The sensor window was covered in algae and the sensor was pointed south so that it got good light exposure, so we are thinking that the high DO was due to photosynthesis of the algae. We cleaned out the algae and pointed it to the north. Should be interesting to see the data next download.

Installed program v110 for the 23x. The new version moves the tule PAR sensor to a different channel (old location is giving problems) and removed both IRT sensors. sn 1282 was pointing at the water and sn 1281 was pointing at the tules. The IRT sensors where removed for install at Tonzi. All Met readings looked good after change of program.

Found chewed TC wire, probably why Tule 1 TS16 is bad. Did not fix.

H2O: 650 mmol m-3 (570 after cleaning)
signal strength = 99.28% (102.3% after cleaning)
p = 102.5 kPa
t: 17 °C
sos = 342.4 m s-1
CH4: 1.92 ppm variable
RSSI: 20-40% (63% after cleaning)
Filled reservoir.
