I arrived about 13:00 PDT with Dennis, Joe and Madeleine. It was clear, sunny and hot with little to no breeze. The rice continues to grow and is about 10 cm tall. The field is still dry.

Joe built a boardwalk while I checked the tower, downloaded the met data and changed the 23x program to fix the mistake in the precip code (there was an incorrect multiplier in the code for the precip measurement â€“ 0.245 â€“ but this is incorrect since 1 tip = 0.1 mm for the rain gauge at the rice). Dennis cleaned the radiation and flux sensors.

I adjusted the wash settings for the 7700 to be consistent with the other sites.

The wash reservoir was okay.

Dennis and I took spectral measurements while Madeleine did clip plots.

After visiting the rice, we went to check out the pasture near the CIMIS station to scope out a new pasture flux site. Since they'll be flooding the Sherman pasture soon, we want a new pasture site. Dennis thought that about 50 m east of the CIMIS station would be a good location for the flux tower.
