Summary: Pascal with us to check out the sites. Standard fieldwork. Soil CO2 logger needed restart. Did rain gauge test, made slight adjustment to increase cal factor.

We arrived about 08:30 PDT. It was cool (12 C), calm, and sunny. The site continues to look senescent and trampled. There was lots of water under the bridge on the way in, but the field itself was quite dry, and the water table was low in the wells.

Joe and I attended to the tower and downloaded data, later doing well depth, while Laurie and Pascal did moisture point and spectral. I took a veg height transect at the end. No soil CO2 flux today; another group borrowed the instrument and didnt return it.

LGR readings: 2.79 ppm, 08:32, 24.5 C, 136.7 Torr (adjusted to 145.5 Torr), 12.54 us, 10 Hz

7500 readings:
CO2: 18.5 mmol m-3
H2O: 432 mmol m-3

p: 102.1 kPa

sos: 340.3 m s-1

MET looked good.
The soil CO2 datalogger was powered down, the LVD tripped. Joe reset the power supply and it came back on. Looks like we lost 12 days of Soil CO2 data.
Cleaned radiation instruments.

We also did a rain gauge test. Putting 16oz of water through the gauge should have resulted in 25.4 mm of rain, we actually recorded 23.1 mm. We adjusted the set screw on the rain gauge 1.5 turns clockwise to increase the amount of tips recorded.
