Summary: Standard site visit and data download. Otters pulled out 7700 washer tube, reconnected. Confirmed that tule/water RNET data streams have been switched since inception. Rechecked sonic direction.

We arrived about 10:15 PDT. It was sunny and warm with a mild breeze. Sara and Patty went out to the tule tower to collect water samples and clean the sensors while I attended to the tower and downloaded data.

There was a lot of cottony cattail material stuck to the tower, but none seemed to be blocking the gas analyzer paths. The otters pulled out the 7700 washer tubing at the connection to the reservoir. They arent interested in the tubing itself but rather the solar shielding, so I clipped the solar shielding back to where it was zip-tied to the tower.

In looking at the Met data recently, I thought that the RNET measurements over water and over the tule patch might be swapped, so Sara did a hand-cover test for me while I watched the readings. They were indeed switched, and I think this has been the case since the tule tower was erected (evidence of such in the data). I will make the appropriate change in the Met code.

Finally, Ive been playing with the footprint from Mayberry, and wanted to precisely double-check the sonic direction. The North notch on the sonic was measured at 333 degrees North (magnetic).

7500 readings:
CO2: 417 ppm (415 after cleaning)
H2O: 620 mmol m-3 (560 after cleaning)
signal strength = 96.0% (97.4% after cleaning)
t: 20.2 C
p = 101.6 kPa
sos = 344.0 m s-1

Current 7700 readings:
CH4 = 2.0 ppm (same after cleaning)
RSSI = 21.3% (87 after cleaning)
The reservoir was full. I topped it off.

MET looked good.
Cleaned solar panels.
