Summary: Installed 7700, currently recording. All well.
| Twitchell Alfalfa 2013-08-28 We arrived at 10:40 PDT. It was sunny, breezy and warm (24 C). The alfalfa is regrowing, the field nice and green already. We met Bryan Brock at the site and he reported that the site had been alfalfa since at least 2005. Bryan said he would ask Hymie (sp?) for any information on previous crops. We downloaded data and installed a 7700 (sn 0155) into the flux system. All went well, although we forgot to put the radiation hat on the 7700. We returned later in the afternoon to put it on. 7500 readings: CO2 = 390 ppm (396 after cleaning) H2O = 720 mmol m-3 (690 after cleaning) SS = 92.8% (93.4% after cleaning) T = 25.1 C p = 101.2 kPa sos = 347.9 m s-1 7700 readings: CH4: 1.85 ppm RSSI: 70% I set the cleaner, time, and data output settings to match our other sites. MET looked good. Radiation looked good. |
