Camilo cleaned the light-source leaf chamber (it wasn't too dusty) and attached it to this console for calibration. We connected the reference and sample inlet to the cal gases with a y-junction. Camilo had checked the zeros using the chemicals last week and found them unsatisfactory (we didn't write them down). We set the zero and the span using cal gas and dewpoint generator.

Zero:
Cal Gas (zero air), flow at 1SCFH:
Before: CO2_S:~-15 CO2_R: ~-15 H2O_S: ~-2 H2O_R: ~-2
After: *All fluctuating around zero.

Span with AMP 408.97ppm cal gas, flow at 1SCFH:
Before: CO2_R: 413 CO2_S: 423
After: *Fluctuating around 409

Span with 16.0C dew point (2019-03-26), flow at 500 CC/min:
Before: H2O_R: 17.50 C H2O_S: 18.52 C
After: H2O_R: 16.00 C H2O_S: 16.00 C

The 6400 had not been zeroed and spanned for a while. We checked the zero with the chemicals and they were very off, so we set the zero and the span using cal gas and dewpoint generator.

Then I zeroed and spanned:
Zero:
Chemicals: CO2_S: 34.0 CO2_R: 25.4 H2O_S: 13.7 H2O_R: 14.1
Cal Gas (zero air):
Before: CO2_S:41.0 CO2_R: 24.3 H2O_S: 3.5 H2O_R: 2.3
After: *All fluctuating around zero.

Span with 408.97ppm cal gas:
Before: CO2_R: 399.9 CO2_S: 397.1
After: *Fluctuating around 409

Span with 16.0C dew point:
Before: H2O_R: 14.69C H2O_S:13.23C
After: H2O_R: 16.01C H2O_S: 15.99C
**Note: we had to override the maximum slope parameter for the H2O_S to be able to set the slope above 1.100 and to set the correct dewpoint. 'Shift' + 'J' will allow you to override the maximum slope.

Then I zeroed and spanned:
Zero:
Before: CO2_S:13.8 H2O_S:-0.997
After: CO2_S:0.0 H2O_S:0.003

Span with 421.22ppm cal gas:
Before: CO2_S: 425.4
After: CO2_S: 421.1 (setting 0.998)

Span with 11.08C dew point:
Before: H2O_S:12.18
After: H2O_S: 11.08 (setting 1.039)

1042 2013-08-16 Lab none Notes Lab none Current firmware is OPEN v5.2.3. Upgrade to new firmware v6.2 is possible. New digital board is also available with Ethernet and CF interfaces see Licor part 6400-926 XT Upgrade Kit. Cost at this time is 50.00
757 2012-08-15 Factory Returned Lab none Returned from repair and calibration at Licor on RMA 170405. Licor fixed a intermittent power switch, found a D-shaped vinyl gasket on the sample chamber not installed correctly, replaced leaking home made tube plugs, and found a small leak in a loose bottom cap on the desicant tube. Licor calibrated the system.

software version v5.3.2
758 2012-07-13 Lab none Shipped Factory Shipped to Licor for repair and calibration on RMA 170405. The system has a leak that we have been unable to find.
2466 2007-02-20 Factory Calibration Factory Sent to Licor to check for flow restriction in chemical tubes, test PAR IN stability and calibrate light source. Findings: No CO2 source cover sent. In checking for blockages in the chemical tubes, initially there were none, so I had them rebuilt. In that process we discovered that the small tubes in the bypass valve had been pinched flat. Most likely, they had been left in either the scrub or bypass position for an extended period of time, causing them to be flattened-shut. We replaced them. It is a good idea to out the valve in the center, most relaxed, position for storage. The light source is stable and I could not get it to do anything unusual, even with lots of cable stressing/wiggling.
