I arrived about 9:15 with Siyan. It was clear, sunny and cool with little to no wind. The water in the Delta was glassy and there was heavy fog in the central valley on the way up. The grass looks a little fuller and the ground was damp but not mucky. There were puddles in the low spot in the road. There was heavy dew on the ground.

I collected the data from the Floor CR1000. The 10Hz data looks better, but the 30min data doesn’t get written most of the time. Probably the program cycles at the half hour get skipped and the slow table does not run. Because of this bug, I did not change the programs on the Tower and Vaira CR1000s.

I pulled the rest of the equipment from the C1 sap flow site west of the Tower. About five Echo soil moisture probes and some soil temperature TC came out of the ground. I pulled the fence posts and rolled up the fencing. I left the fencing and posts at the site and brought in the sensors. I ran the serial line up to the top of the tower to connect to the CR1000 in the future.

The LI800 was railed at 1000ppm again. I took it apart and could see some dirt in the cell. I cleaned the cell with a rag and some alcohol. Afterwards I was able to calibrate the LI800 and it seemed to be running okay when we left. I think I will add a 2um Swagelok filter just upstream of the LI800.

I cleaned up some of the cabling in the Tower computer box. I removed four USB to serial converted and the USB hub that were no longer being used. I also installed Loggernet on the computer but did not set it up to use – PC208W is still running. I have been wanting to upgrade the software on the computer for a long time, but now maybe its too little too late if the Raspberry Pi ends up working out.

The z-cam windows were cleaned.

Siyan swapped the 7500s on the Tower and the Floor.
