Summary: Upper DO sensor reading INF; moved portable tower to Loc 1

Arrived at the Mayberry portable tower around 10:30am, slight winds from the NW temperature near 20C. Emily took 5 water samples from Location 2 for analysis of CO2 & CH4 concentration in the lab. We moved the tower to portable Location 1. Cleaned the mirrors before putting the sensor back up, and aligned the sonic to true north. The plants were too dense and the water too far from shore for Emily to take water samples at Location 1.

CO2 = 390 ppm
H2O = 690 mmol/m3
CH4 = 1.9 ppm
SOS = 345 m/s
RSSI = 66 (post-cleaning)

Arrived at the Mayberry permanent tower around 11:30am. Emily and Jenny waded around and took water samples for CO2/CH4 concentration analysis in the lab. Emily took 5 extra samples on top of her normal sampling routine. The upper DO sensor (DO_surf) was reading –INF. I tried to clean it, but the reading is still bad. I didn’t have a small screwdriver to remove it from the field. Dennis cleaned the mirrors on the LI-7700.
