I arrived about 2pm PDT. Sara and Carina dropped me off on their way to the Corn site. It was clear, sunny and warm with a wind from the west to keep it comfortable. The water level in the pond was still very low. I walked along the boardwalk into the tower foot print and found little to no standing water. However, the cattails and tules are greener and thicker than before.

I brought material to add a railing on the south side of the scaffolding top. But, I dropped one of the bolts I needed and the railing wasn’t quite long enough for the mounting method I was planning. I left the parts there for plan B next week.

I added bird spikes to the LI7500A head and cleaned the LI7700 mirrors. Before cleaning the LI7700 RSSI was 32 and afterwards it was 83. The wash reservoir didn’t need any water.

I took a sample of water from below the tower and from the open water in the east pond. But I could not find any more standing water in the west pond to sample.

The pipe in the southwest corner of the West Pond seems repaired, but only a trickle of water is coming out. I talked to Bryan the morning of 7/2 and he said he would check on it later in the day.
