Summary: Removed LI-7700, installed LGR, soil cores for diffusion, tried CO2 probe relay again.

2012-05-02 I arrived about 900PDT with Dennis, Sara, and Jaclyn. It was cool and sunny with high thin clouds and a gusty breeze from the west. Walt was just letting in a truck with a supplement liquid for the cows. The field is relatively dry. The pepper weed is thick and mid-thigh tall. Inside the cow fence it is waist high. We removed the LI7700 (sn TG1-0223) and wash box from the tower. We added an LGR (sn 08-0114) and the diaphragm pump (sn 03387648). We left the scroll pump in the back of the box. I ran the diaphragm pump to blow out the lines for a while. I took the T-junction out where the external 2um filter goes and just connected directly to the filter. I put the KVM back in line and everything seemed to work all right. I cleaned the 40um filter and used a clean 2um external filter. When we left the LGR read: 10:56PDT, 21.85C, 142.38Torr, 15.2usec, 10Hz, 1.896ppm I swapped the CR1000 card and then changed the program back to a previous version supporting the LGR. I modified the previous program to omit the LGR time from the fast table. We tried the relay for the Vaisala CO2 probes again. Still having problems with the CR10X restarting upon relay activation. We swapped the CR10X (sn 20140 removed) but still had the problem. It might be a ground problem and we will try replacing the 24V to 12V converter next time. Sara and Dennis pulled soil cores for diffusivity tests in the lab. |
