Summary: Swapped floor solar batteries, brought two idle solar panels in for Vaira soil co2, tram down losed wheel pin - fixed.

I arrived about 1:30pm. It was sunny and warm with little to no wind. High clouds were moving is and the sky was a little hazy. Not much change in the vegetation. The grass still looks sickly and the ground surface was dry again.

I drove the truck over to near the floor solar panels. The solar system was at about 14V, but looking at the data on the Floor computer it seemed to be dropping out every morning for a couple hours. I swapped out the seven batteries from June to December 2007 with six new batteries from January and February 2012. With the new batteries in place the solar charger read 13.2V, 3.3A solar, 1.7 to 1.8A load. Six batteries should supply about 600Ahr of power. 50% of that is 300Ahr. Pulling 2A should give us 150hr of power without sun.

I discovered that the last two solar panels, sn 020854E-6-03-02-06905 and sn 020854E-6-03-02-06862, to the east were not connected. This is probably okay since this has been the case for the last three years. The six remaining panels can supply about 24A of power. I might need the idle solar panels for the Vaisala install at Vaira, so I brought them back to the lab.

The tram had stopped running part way down the track. The pin in the north wheel broke again. I replace the pin with a new cotter pin. The tram reset itself, but I did not see it run before I left.
