Summary: Swapped LI7500, checked on Stardot camera, installed weather pod.

2011-10-18 I arrived about 8:30PST. It was warm and clear with little to no wind. The ground is drier than last Thursday. The puddle near the gate is dry and the water hole still has water but less than last time. The new grass sprouts look a little stressed. I swapped out Frank?s 7500 in favor of a freshly calibrated one on ours. 7500 sn 1594 went on. I checked on the Stardot camera. It was running but its image was blurry. I moved the camera back from the enclosure window and was able to focus it at infinity. I also connected the weather pod with a jumper to make its adapter fit in the enclosure. I mounted the weather pod on the north end on the tower in a PCV weather shield. The solar power box is full of wasps. It read 13.4V, 11.6A solar, 2.6A load. Later I discovered that the Stardot camera is being fed from the data logger power and is causing a brown out overnight. Met data is only being recorded during the day. |
