2011-10-26 I arrived about 8:30PST with Siyan. It was cool, clear and sunny with little to no wind. The water hole south of the road has less water in it but still a little. There is heavy dew in the grass the wets the ground slightly. The grass looks a little happier than a week or so ago. So areas may be almost 20cm high. I removed the Stardot power from the 23X switched 12V terminals. The battery for the data logger was about 10V and climbing with sun on the solar panels. The data logger came back not to long after disconnecting the stardot camera. I was going to run the wires through the fitting into the camera enclosure, but I remembered this after I connected the power to the relay. This was so difficult that I didn?t want to do it again. I?ll change the relay in the future and put in the fitting then. I wired the stardot camera into the relay controlling power to the existing web cam. I copy data from the 23x an updated the program. I commented out the control for the existing web cam and made the sunrise-sunset routine control it instead. I also added a check that does not turn the cameras on if the system voltage is below 11.5V. I left the solar power box open for a while, and the wasps hiding there seemed to have flown away. The solar system was reading 13.4V, 11.5A solar, 2.9A load. |
