2011-08-31 I arrived about 9:30PDT with Siyan and Laurie. It was clear, hot and sunny. There was a breeze from the west. The trees still look green. There was a little water left in the water hole to the south of the road near the site, but the water level was much lower than last time. The grass is dry and brittle. Still some grasshoppers around. We did the standard field work. I read the moisture point probes. The solar system reported 13.2V, 9.9A solar and 3.2A load with the screen on. Siyan checked the radiometers and rain bucket. The Ocean Optics software had some problems. A menu bar was missing from the window and it was not immediately obvious how to restore it. Finally after fussing around a bit I got it straightened out. |
