Summary: All okay, used Moisture Point software to collect some probe data.

2011-07-20 I arrived about 11:30PDT with Siyan. There is still a hint of green in the low spots but the grasses near the site are all dead. The water hole in the low point south of the road just before the site is still mostly full of water. It was clear, sunny and warming quickly. There was a nice breeze from the west but seemed to vary from northwest to southwest. Quite a few grasshoppers are around, but not as many as I have seen before. The computer was running as was the fan in the box. The crash that Siyan saw last time hopefully was a random event. I collected some moisture point data with the ViewPoint software to see if it provides more information or ease of recording. |
