Summary: Check multiplexor, compress remove 2006 archive data.

2011-03-08 I arrived about 9:30 with Siyan, Dennis, Naama and Laurie. It was sunny and cool with a few clouds. There was a very light breeze from the south. There is a lot of water around. All the usual water holes are full and overflowing. Water was running and pooling in the road ruts. The rivers at Cosumnes River Reserve were as high as I have ever seen them. The grass is still growing slowly and the trees do not have any leaves yet. The am16/32 multiplexor was running and the data looked okay. I checked all the screw terminals between the data logger and the multiplexor – they were all tight. The cause of this problem will remain a mystery. I copied the data for Siyan and then began compressing and moving the archived 2006 data to make more room on the hard drive. I removed the 2006 flux, met and pic folders. These have been added to the Data PC in the lab. I left a batch file running that was compressing the raw data files in to daily zip archives. We left for Tonzi probably around 10:30 |
