Bouldin Corn: 2024-09-26 12:30:00 (DOY 270)

Summary: Regular data collection/cleaning, dusty, harvest next month
2024-09-26 Bouldin Corn Carlos and I arrived at 12:30 PST. It was sunny, dry, and dusty. There were lots of dust plumes visible from Highway 12 from various tractor work in the fields. A tractor was tilling the corn field to our southeast. Charlotte’s latest update from yesterday was that sorghum will not be harvest for “at least 2 weeks,” so we plan to move the soil sensors and tower back at the next site visit. There were some wasps flying around silently, but it was small potatoes compared to what we just experience at East End. I downloaded met, cam, USB GHG, and PA data. The lithium power pack only had 2 of the 4 LED lights on. Maybe we can swap it out next time. Carlos cleaned flux and rad sensors and reported that the 7500 was dusty, probably from nearby field work. He topped off the wash reservoir (there were a few wasps in the reservoir box so he left the lid open). The 7500 read: 429ppm CO2, 597mmo/m3 H2O, 27.9C, 101.1kPa, 88SS - 98 after cleaning The 7700 read: 2.1ppm CH4, 47RSSI - 80 after cleaning We left at 12:45 PST. |
