Summary: Solar out due to low battery, but okay, left netbook, camera blown over - set vertical.

I arrived about 10am. It was cool with a thin overcast and a good wind from the east-southeast. There were lower banks of clouds visible on all horizons. The levee road was firm enough to drive on with a small car. The levees are greening up with planted grasses. Not many birds around today. Water level looks to be holding steady but there is some erosion around the edges of the levee.

The solar system was down with a low battery warning, but the system seemed to be in good shape. The batteries were at 12.5V and getting 7 or 8 solar amps depending on the clouds. I forced a restart and system began pulling 2.4A with no dip in the battery voltage.

After fixing some settings in Loggernet on the new netbook I was able to connect to the CR1000 and see its data. I was planning on updating the CR1000’s OS but that requires a connection to the CR1000’s RS232 port, which I still cannot get to work. Since it seems to be working I won’t poke at it any more until I have a spare.

All was okay. The LI7700 rssi was about 34 before I cleaned its mirrors. The bottom mirror was pretty clean, but there were some water spots on the upper mirror. After cleaning the rssi was 74.

I copied the data from the CR10X and swapped the card on the CR1000.

The auto cam had been pushed over to the east again. I set it upright and check to make sure it had power.

I put and anchor in the ground to the north of the solar panels and tied the green base to it.

I left the netbook in the LI7500 communications box and put a lock on that box’s hasp.
