Summary: Cleaned bird poop, added three solar panels, two batteries, restarted Li7700.
| Mayberry 12/9/2010 I arrive about 1pm with Jaclyn. It was overcast and warm with a little wind from the north east. The water level was a little higher (a few inches). Much of the bird poop had been washed away by the rain. Another gate near the base of the bridge was closed but not locked. Cows were on the levee road before the cable gate. I installed the three 50W solar panels from Twitchell sn I-2-020301-2210404, sn I-2-020301-2210373, sn I-2-020301-2210442. I forgot to bring a drill so I had to fashion an ad hoc mount using the wooden platform. I also should bring 5/16" bolts instead of the 1/4" I had for the panels. I also added two more deep cycle marine batteries to the system. Before adding the batteries the system was running at 12.5V, 2.6A solar and 0.8A load. After adding the batteries the voltage increased to 12.8V. And after adding the panels the solar amps close to doubled. Jaclyn cleaned bird poop from everything. The sprayer worked well. She also check the data loggers. All seemed well. We reconnected the LI7700 and its RSSI was 80. Its TC is broken. I need to get a new one and replace it with the one I hacked together in the meantime. We swapped the card in the autocam. This camera seems to be running well. |
