Carlos and I arrived at 13:00 PDT. We had to wait a while to cross the bridge over Mokelumne River. It was hot and sunny. There will be another heat wave this weekend with temperatures >38C Friday through Monday.

Lots of construction traffic by the tower. Some construction is happening north of the highway, between the highway and the levee, I think by the same group that is watering the roads and working to our southwest. There were several rows of large piles of soil. We only got a quick look as we were driving west after servicing BA.

A crop duster flew by a few times north of the highway.
The corn is continuing its growth spurt. Carlos took veg height measurements.

I couldn’t connect to the CR1000 at first even though I heard the mux clicking. It was not a com port or cable issue. Then, I tried to eject the card but the LED status light did not turn green. I cycled the CR1000 power, and all seemed fine afterwards. I downloaded the usual data: met, USB GHG, PA, IRT, and zcam photos. I thought I swapped the camera card but back in the lab the “BC” card was empty. Not sure if it's related to the CR1000 hang up. I forgot to get the 5min data, but it should all be there next time.

Carlos cleaned flux and rad sensors and I topped off the wash reservoir. I changed the eddy clock +1min to match the laptop time from 12:20 to 12:21 and restarted logging.

The 7500 read: 376ppm CO2, 884mmol/m3, 32.0C, 101.3kPa, 96SS – 101 after cleaning
The 7700 read: 2.0ppm CH4, 54RSSI – 76 after cleaning

We left at 13:35 PDT.
